WOW! Sure do wish I had your cabinet abilities. There isn't a radio I cant fix and most times I can tell whats wrong just listeing to it but when it comes to redoing a cabinet I just don't seem to have that little something it takes to get any kind of result. I have never had anyone show me what to do so everything has been based on what I have read in a book or on the web and I just don't seem to get it. Someday I hope.

EXACTLY what my situation is for electronics. I stink!
I will send you some videos of my radios so you can listen and tell me what is wrong and I will tell you just how to restore your cabinets.
Problem is that most of them dont play at all,

Truth is most times I don't ever consider plugging them in as I don't want to risk any further problems. Its people that bring them to me for repair, they plug them in against my say so and then I can hear what the most obvious problem is. Lets hope that one day we will figure out what we are missing.

Incredible work. I can't even clean my cabinets and you're making them look brand new.

I would not say brand new. I should have grain filled the Halson and the Zenith, not happy with them.

Very nice work, would you like to come out to Arizona (warmer) and do my Fada cabinet?
Best, Jerry

Very, very impressive work! Thanks for sharing all of your valuable information on the Phorum. Do you have any pics of the sides of your floor console? That is where you had to replace large sections of veneer. Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to take pics of the veneer replacement spots.
The cabinet is at the other house so I will have to go and take pics the next time I am there. I didn't notice them so I guess thats good
So, no one sees anything wrong with the cabinets? A wrong color, wrong finish etc.. I want these to be super original so if I missed something or messed something up, Please tell me.
As for plugging them in, I don't until I replace all the caps and out of value resistors.

I am not an expert, wait 'till they come and tear it apart.
But to me it looks just fine.

I don't mind, I need criticism if it helps me do a better job of restoring.
When I'm done crying I will fix the issues...

And depending on what you drink you could use the tears for a paintstripper.
