#1

Picked this up today Philco 38-690, I have been searching for a while for one !

It is in really nice condition and 100% complete

My Console collection is near Complete, Zenith 16a61 Strat, Scott Philharmonic Gothic Grande, now I can add This one !!

All I need now is to find a Walton and I will be a happy Puppy !!

@Kirk, you are really gonna hate me now, considering I literally stole this from your Backyard !!!

Looks like you got yourself a real fine set there!

The set was designed when some stations had hi fi modulators and broadband modulation was permitted for WLW at least. You'll need to build a small xmitter to show-off the radio. Or, at least, get a phonograph with a magnetic pickup and a preamp to connect to it.
#10

PS AM stations now not only cut the audio above 5 kHz, as required by law, they cut the low freqs too and boost the apparent loudness of their blabber-mouths.

Very nice!!! .. That's my dream radio. If I ever find one, I will probably spend a year of my life making it perfect.
