Flea Market Philco 630 Tombstone
#1

It was either get up super early and drive to a Sacramento auto parts
swap meet or sleep in a little and hit the local flea markets. I was lazy so chose the latter. Besides, weather is beautiful and flea markets were predicted to be full. Sure glad I went as this is what I came across on the 2nd pass. Wood is in very good condition and just needs a refinish. Grill cloth is also wasted. Chassis looks complete and rust free, just a little dusty. Even comes with a VERY LONG antenna coiled up inside! I like the tuning mechanism with the "fine tuning" feature. My first (but maybe not my last) tombstone radio!

Cabinet needs restoration, chassis is clean, caps seem to have been replaced some time back, same as power cord.

A very good six-tube set!

With some TLC you will have a good receiver there!
