Delco Model 60108
#1

Wanted to share with you guys my newest Adoption. It is supposed to work, it was rebuilt about 15 years ago but I am not going to try it until I check out the chassis, can't say I trust the person who rebuilt it. Thought you guys would be interested in seeing it. Anyone know anything about this radio? Thanks..

I know that the back isn't standard issue.

looks nice to me  Icon_thumbup Icon_thumbup
but why the inlay near top ?
also looks like an arrow head in grill pointing to dial ? shadow?
back cover really needs to go Icon_thumbdown

Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift

Not shadow, I think it is intentional

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

The inlay your talking about is at the top of the grill where the speaker cutout is? There is one at the bottom also. Thought it was made that way. yea looking at the back it is an add on by someone isnt it.

I have to 6V version. With it's vibrator power supply it only draws 9W.

Very Nice... it seems on yours it is darker around the edges but mine seems to be close to the same shade all over. Phlogiston, or anyone else for that matter, do you know where I can get a schematic for this radio? Thx for any help.

Look for the schematic on Nostalgia Air under United Moters Service - Delco.

Are you sure of that model number?

Before and after refinishing picture of mine:

I added the shading to match the original finish.

OK, I will look on nostalgiair. No, not 100% sure of the model number, that is what someone wrote on the back of the radio. Your radio looks real nice. I thought mine was the original finish, doesnt look like anyone has done anything to the cabinet, but like i say the edges arent really darker than the front like yours. Looks nice with the darker edges.

That back will make it a toaster, plus the holes are at the bottom of the cover.
Nice looking sets

It might be the original finish. They weren't necessarily all the same or finished at the same time by the same guys.
