Rons Test Equiptment...
#1

So I got this set of testers from our own Ron at K-town.
I was going to make 1 set but figured they are both all there so why not make 2?
One even has a real nice 33 Philco globe in it. I will need to find 2 Philco batteries to go inside for OCD reasons but I have seen people make them so I will do that if I cant get originals. One is a bit worse for wear but glue, clamps and Tolex will do the trick. I have Terry to help with the Tolex application since he is a master leather worker.

I have dismantled one completely and left the other whole. I may need to reference it on rebuild of the other one.

Here they are!

I think the tolex was the only think holding this cabinet together, Icon_lol
I removed all the Tolex and hardware and it collapsed.
Good for me since now I know what joints need glue... (all of them)

I need to get new butterfly rivets, Tolex, rust dissolver, Spray glue, and something else?? Oh, My head examined  Icon_crazy
The other cabinet came out great with spray glue and a good cleaning and polish.

Nice to see someone has equipment older than mine!

It fell to pieces but I reattached all the sides after soaking them and flattening them. First the 4 sides and now the bottom is gluing.

 Still havent ordered the tolex.....

Nice job so far! So how many clamps do you own???

Well, Terry, this is a mighty personal question you are asking. It is between the man and his clamps!

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

I was just trying to find if he hoards those too!!!!

I have about 30 but not the big ones Icon_sad
They are about $45.00 a piece for good ones. Harbor Freight has them but they are SH its mostly because a clamp shoould clamp and they just break when you try to tighten them..
Stoopit things...
