boosting signal from RP-1

Im trying to figure out what i would need to boost the signal to my rp-1 record player . I have my laptop alligator clipped to the tone arm wires of the rp-1 ...
Its an older ibm think pad with pretty weak sound ...Im guessing im in need of some type of very small amplifier between the thinkpad and the turntable but as to what is where im at a loss ....

Its sounds loud in the video but that's just the sensitivity of the mic .
I have to turn the volume way up to hear it clearly ....

Never heard of a headphone amp before ...Picked one up at best buy connected it and noticed a big boost to the sound to my radios ......
