Philco G1706 Phonograph Cartridge
#1

Dear Philco Phorum Members,

I am new to the Phorum, so please excuse me if I am posting this in the wrong area.

I have recently inherited a Philco G1706 4-speed phonograph.

The phonograph cartridge is damaged and the stylus is missing.

I am kindly requesting help in identifying replacement parts and a source to purchase from.

I would also be grateful for any other information that you may be able to provide.

Please see the attached photos.

I thank you for your time and willingness to help.

With kind regards,

Patrick (Canton, Michigan)

Hi Patrick, go to this website…thevoiceofmusic.com..They have many parts, stylus, cartridges, idler wheels and more. They should be able to hook you up with what you need! I don’t have much experience with record changers but yours appears to be a VM changer.

Gary and Ron,

Thank you for the welcome and the advice you provided.

I contacted Gary over at thevoiceofmusic.com and he was able to provide a suitable replacement cartridge for my V-M 1201.

Very reasonably priced.

I appreciate your talents, and I thank you for your time and willingness to help.

With kind regards,
