Bakelite cleanup
#1

I have a nice little Zenith in a bakelite cabinet, cabinet is solid but has 2 issues.

Paint dots spattered on a good portion of the top, may be oil based. I have removed these before with warm soapy water and a soft brush, not coming off this time. Suggestions?

Also kind of a gummy stuff, adhesive maybe, on a couple of spots, thinking of using Goo Gone. Anyone have any experience with that stuff.

Cabinet is brown bakelite.

Thanks.

Hi Paul,

I've had good luck with paint spots on bakelite with GoJo with pumice. Once you remove the paint go over it with Novus. It should look great.

BTW, thanks for the Cab song!

I will see if I can pick some Gojo up. You are welcome.
