Model 89...a quick, easy question
#1

OK, from the dumb question department... the off / on / band switch on the 1935 cathedral model 89 (introduced in June of 1934)...is the first position when you turn the set on for std. broadcast band, and the second position for the police band, or is it the other way around? Thanks!

I don't have one but would bet the first is the broadcast band.

That's what I'm thinking too, Greg, but just wanted to verify my hunch is correct with someone who has a working example.

Hopefully someone who owns one will chime in and confirm.

The first click is the broadcast band. The contacts will be open on broadcast.

Thanks for the confirmation, Steve. Always helps to be on the right band when trying to pick up stations Icon_smile
